“Jailbreaking” a Firestick isn’t about hacking or rooting the device — it simply means unlocking its full potential by enabling apps from outside the Amazon App Store. This allows you to install third-party streaming apps like Cinema HD, Kodi, and others.
Follow this safe and simple guide to jailbreak your Firestick and open it up for unlimited content.

Step 1: Install the Downloader App
On your Firestick Home screen, go to Find > Search
2. Type Downloader
3. Select the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews
4. Click Download or Get
5. Open the Downloader App
6. Once installed, open it and Allow all permissions. This is required to install applications.
This app will let you sideload third-party APKs like Cinema HD and Kodi.
Step 2: Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Go to Settings (⚙️) on the home screen
2. Select My Fire TV by scrolling down.
3. Enable Developer options by clicking on About and clicking your Firestick Name (Firestick Lite) 7 times in a row.
4. Go back to My Fire TV > Developer Options
5. Turn ON ADB Debugging
6. Select Install unknown apps
7. Click Downloader to turn on it’s ability to Download Apps
Step 3: Turn Off Privacy Settings
In Settings, scroll to and select Preferences
2. Choose Privacy Settings
3. Inside Privacy Settings, turn OFF the following options:
- Device Usage Data – (turn off to stop sharing how you use your Firestick)
- Collect App Usage Data – (turn off to prevent Amazon from tracking app activity)
- Interest-based Ads – (turn off to stop personalized ad targeting)
✅ A confirmation message may appear — choose Turn Off or Disable if prompted.
Step 4: Turn Off Data Monitoring
While still in Preferences, scroll down and select Data Monitoring
2. Set Data Monitoring to OFF
This stops your Firestick from tracking and alerting you about data usage — especially useful for unlimited internet users.
Step 5: Jailbreak by Installing a Streaming App
Now that your Firestick is unlocked, here’s how to install an app like Cinema HD using Downloader:
Open Downloader
Scroll up once and click the center button on your remote to enter a URL or Code. Enter this downloader code into the search bar: 269335
Click Go
Wait for the APK to download
Click Install
After installing, select Done or Open
You’ve now sideloaded your first app! Cinema HD is a scraper that will give you multiple links to choose from to watch a show.
You can repeat this process with other apps like Kodi (554697), BeeTV (3294626), or FilmPlus (7168168).
